In 1974, Steve and Carol said “I Do” at their church in Abilene, TX. As a hard working construction worker in the 1970’s Steve was able to put together a nice honeymoon for his bride. They had just heard that Cancun was the place to be as it only had about half a dozen hotels on a virgin white Caribbean sandy beach. Not ever traveling outside of Texas, they gambled and took a couple of flights over to Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Once they landed, they fell in love…again! The hospitality, the smells, the breeze, the beautiful white sandy beach, the emotions of being somewhere far from home and enjoying each other was the recipe that their new life as husband and wife needed to make their wedding week a masterpiece.
Fast forward 20+ years and Steve and Carol, still very much in love, have decided to Renew their Vows but this time it’s different! Their honeymoon adventure in Cancun 1974 created magic…yes, that type of magic! Now Steve and Carol are a family of 5 with Rebecca (20 years old), Carla (18 years old) and Brenda (16 years old). They have decided to renew their vows in front of the people that matter the most to them, their family, in the most beautiful place they still remembered as Cancun. The resort they stayed 20 years ago had been renamed a couple of times so they decided to explore and chose Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa. One of the Riviera Maya (1 hr from Cancun) most beautiful, family oriented all-inclusive resorts in all of Mexico. With brothers and sisters, in-laws and friends, that wanted to be part of this momentous occasion, the small family of 5 turned into a group of 30.
Luckily, they contacted us and we were able to provide all their guests with all their travel arrangements. We also planned out their Vow Renewal with some decorations that stood out when they said “I Do” in 1974! The food was a Caribbean theme infusion with a personalized menu and their very own drink. They were treated to an exciting Fire Dance Show and an upbeat DJ spinning the latest tunes, while taking requests!
“I Do” Wedding felt it was necessary to go above and beyond so, without asking Steve and Carol, we found out what their 1st dance song was. Their children, family and friends got to see them dance to “Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up” by Barry White . Tissues, arm sleeves, handkerchiefs weren’t enough for all the tears of happiness that poured out once that song hit. They knew how much that song meant to Steve and Carol that once 2 minutes of the song played, they joined them on the dance floor to slow dance to this soft, deep bass tone melody from the late great Barry White.
Vow Renewals are very special. They become the reason of union, the reason of celebration, the reason of LOVE! “I Do” Wedding Travel becomes the reason of travel. The reason why this becomes as easy and as special as it is. Trust “I Do” Wedding Travel to make this day as special as your first time.
